I got an email from two former students who saw my book in a store and were so excited for me they sent me a picture. Just, like, one of the nicest things that can happen to you as a knowledge worker.

This guy sucked so much I had like an extra thousand words about how much he sucked in my book that was actually about the dollar and was instructed by my editor and @mkblyth.bsky.social to cut the section about a random guy sucking and I did it but it hurt because HE SUCKED SO MUCH.

This is so exciting. My parents care when I'm on TV but my COLLEAGUES care when my book just shows up in their New Books Network feed. I exist! It is a real book, interesting to academics! Thank you @rachelgracenewman.bsky.social!
