It's sad to not only see an AI translation of White Album 2 but to see it was made mostly out of spite for a fan translation

To me it all seems to come down to the remake being something different rather than the exact thing they played, and they take it as something trying to rewrite and replace the original rather than something trying to expand on things

I think it's worth distinguishing that he's talking with Hamaguchi specifically, and the topic is how a lot of people think Hamaguchi is going to remake 6 whenever Hamaguchi mentions his favorite is 6. The comment that it would take 4-5 games is more about if Hamuguchi was doing it in FF7R fashion

People are reading/responding to the clickbait post more than the actual article. The reason Yoshida said it would be 4-5 games was because he asked Hamaguchi his favorite FF and Hamaguchi commenting that journalists would often claim he was making a ff6 remake after saying it was his favorite

If you're mostly talking video games, yeah I agree, or rather you can own the game, but you're not guaranteed to have easy access to a device that can play it forever (unlike say a book)

Though if I had to put in my two cents, while you don't need multiple games, I'm not interested in remakes of the older titles that don't radically expand them. While it'd be super simple for them to do HD-2D FF6, if the story was only a slightly polished version, I'd wonder what the point was

This post is a bit deceptive. If you read the article, Yoshida only says the 4-5 game thing after asking Hamaguchi about his favorite FF. Yoshida says 6 would take that many games (as well as other FF) on the basis of it doing the same thing as FF7. Not that they couldn't do something else

It's only happened once so far. I searched up a term in Japanese from a popular anime and got that anime's subreddit auto-translated into Japanese

It's more than a little annoying when I search up something in Japanese and get a result on Google for a page, like Reddit, where it's not actually in Japanese but it has some auto-translation shenanigans going on.

I wish Japanese books (specifically manga and light novels) were more considerate of people with bad eyes. Pretty much forces me to read digitally

Finding myself getting excited about a season 4 of Konosuba only to find out that we're like only 7 volumes into a 17 volume series... Should I just read it at this point?

That said, the route hit me hard. I'm keeping it vague to avoid unintentionally spoiling anyone, but so far anemoi hasn't quite lived up to what I got out of Summer Pockets. It's not bad, but it what I thought I'd complete in the same amount of time has been stretched out quite a bit
