Or games where the lower difficulty settings lock you out of completing the game. Well, wasn't that fun! "Normal" difficulty was just a joke! This game is really meant to be played on "extreme hardcore" difficulty, so if you want to see the ending, be a REAL man next time!

I'm OK with it if a game advertises itself as being exceedingly difficult. I don't like extreme difficulty in games that give you no indication of it and then hit you with a massive difficulty spike and your progress with the game is effectively done until you "git gud."

You probably don't need us to tell you that ModRetro is a company very forwardly run by war criminal Palmer Lucky, and that knowingly doing business with them in the year 2026 is a clear sign that parties involved in any deal with them are too cynical / money-minded to give a shit about that fact.

But the majority of people I've seen aren't Xbox people now anyway, so by default they are not spending, even if not *actively* boycotting.

I wonder if it's more to do with people actually being passionate about Playstation as opposed to somewhat indifferent towards Xbox in general. People like to talk about what they love. When Sony kills discs for their favorite system, it hurts. Whereas they haven't bought an Xbox game in years...
