Ask yourself: am I making this choice for money and security, even if it’s not in my overall best interest? The relationship you’re in. The job you’re choosing. The food you eat. Basic income means choosing these because you want to, not because you have to.

Websites need an email server for logins, subscription confirmations, password resets, newsletters, outreach. All of it runs through email. Without it, we’re locked out of basic functions every modern org depends on. This isn’t a nice-to-have. It’s infrastructure

Exactly if you have to measure someone by their income, then that becomes a gate and therefore conditional. It also forces fear of losing a benefit if you go over a certain income so income measures for a basic income discourages upward mobility
