We instead had to come up with all kinds of justifications like the Just World Fallacy and other concepts and rules to explain it all away and us feel better about everything being "just the way it is." But we will know, absolutely, that it wasn't true...none of it ever needed to happen.

Basic income is public inheritance, trust in each other and re-investment in our shared future.

The way we get people money has been, and will continue to be, increasingly precarious. We have tragically gotten to this place by our combined hard work for generations. We are working ourselves out prosperity instead of into it. We allow this. Should future generations be worse off still?
