#a2council Does anyone know why the boundary for AAPS and the Ann Arbor District Library almost perfectly line up, except for the northern part in what looks like Northfield Township? Why are all the other boundaries the same except those ones?

#a2council For context, Ann Arbor has about 500 township islands, which are parcels of land within city limits, and receive city services, but have their taxes go to a surrounding township. Personally these bother me way more than someone buying a home, and not using it the way I want them to use it
Mark MadonnaUsing the results of this sample, I would estimate there are only about 200-300 second homes in Ann Arbor, or about a .5% to 1% of the residential parcels (11/11)
#a2council A lot has been said about second homes in Ann Arbor, including by me (www.damnarbor.com/2026/06/the-...). But today wanted to see if I could actually calculate how many second homes are in this city 🧵 (1/11)

Tits McGeeOh my God, this is not a drill - LinkedIn has added 'seems like AI slop' as an option on posts Genuinely thought it was a joke until I clicked on a few posts
Ann Arbor might have the greatest library in the world. Can't imagine a city with a better one.
eli neiburgerOne of the actions #SummerGame players can take for points is to make a public comment at a meeting of the AADL Board of Trustees. This always makes for very rewarding civic engagement, but this young player took it to the next level and displayed a preternatural grasp of parliamentary procedure!
