i think a perfect example is what happened with disney when they removed kimmel, and how people heavily protested afterwards and he was shortly reinstated

it's also unfortunate because those very same artists also expressed discontent with the decision to pull the movie from theatrical screenings, so that feeling has always been there, just exacerbated with the leaks... maybe there's no perfect solution out there, but that's what i prefer anyways!

i'd say in a perfect world, boycotting/cancelling subs until they would have given us the theatrical release we would've wanted (and the movie deserved) because it's clear they had shut that down in an attempt to boost numbers for their streaming site by making it the sole official option available

i guess what i'm trying to say is i always disagreed with the notion of giving a corporation exactly what they want: money. giving a corrupt entity what they desire means you've given them what they wanted, but with no assurances that you'll get what *you* wanted

when capitalism turns art into a source of cheap labor to increase profit margins, then how can we place our trust in corpos in being able to determine that art still has its worth when the profit margins become smaller and smaller while they further belittle the craft

can i be a bit honest and say i don't believe in throwing money at param*unt to make them believe animation is worth the investment because look at what happened to disn*y just now. their animation sector is still making record profits and yet they're *still* laying off staff
