I am extremely troubled by the amount of standby pay issued to MPD officers during Operation Metro Surge. FWIW, I am still mad about my council person’s vote on it (Jamison Whiting voted for the pilot). He did listen to why we oppose it. I don’t know that we changed his mind though.

At offices hrs for city council, there was a heated exchange from a younger guy about a drone pilot vote. An older white lady interrupted and I braced myself, but all she said was “can you talk slower, I want to understand”. He did. I love Mpls. It’s far from perfect but there are good things, too.
