Watched Dark Star yet again. Second time this month. Might make it regular. It just cheers me up. Hell. I’ll go there: as a film, it is so much better than 2001. So much more skill, imagination and heart in the thing. So much more meaning. Like actual humans made it. Great comedy is art, goddammit.

I struggle with it. There’s not a single instance of kindness in any of the episodes I’ve seen. Which is the point of them, I guess. Makes lots of people happy though.

Sounds amazing. I love that sequence so much. I remember reading it as a student and being completely blown away by it. Sadly it’s unlikely to tour to the Isle of Mull.
