I just voted using @electioncheatsheet.org! been voting since mom brought me to ballot box as a toddler & I punched holes @ big machine … not sure if I am more informed but it does feel damn good to use the website to see endorsements all at once! I didn’t even agree with it all! But it was cool.😎

Okay also being close to South Park is great too — Loretta’s is close by and you can get on the Duwamish too with the River Access Paddle Program. Georgetown has a great art and DIY scene (Equinox Studios!) and folks are working on removing highway 99 which borders Burien as well! Plus Good Voyage!

We love Salmon Creek Cafe and Endolyn Joe’s for brunch too - and Lincoln Park is amazing. Plus Stevie’s Famous and 909 Coffee and Wine and Burien Pizzeria! So much good stuff down here. Plus there’s a model train store and a history museum? And trails that go down to the Des Moines waterfront

Love Angelo’s tbh! Very Old School. And Seahurst is great! And Bakery Nouveau, and Grand Central and Marlaina’s and Burien Press and there’s a Hong Kong Market within walking distance of you. Our favorite taco spot is Taqueria Jalisco and Kikey’s is also great especially for brunch.

The amount of taxes we pay to the feds compared to what we get in return is outrageous. This needs much more attention, including from our businesses. The reason we keep increasing local taxes (the only ones we can keep 100%) is because so much of our state & fed taxes are going elsewhere.

I haven’t voted yet but I do need to go to the library and that’s where my drop box is so perhaps tomorrow
