This is a great idea! I'd never thought of it from a player's perspective that published adventures could be sources of inspiration for character choices, but of course they can... especially if the campaign you are in is in the same setting and you want to be part of, or an adversary to, a faction.
Scott Fitzgerald GrayFRPG Player Tip: GMs aren’t the only ones who can use published adventures as inspiration. If you read adventures (whether just for fun or because you’re also a GM), maybe the story or setting of a particular adventure features cool details that are just what you need for your character backstory.
