I started early, but it's not too late for you to add this to tonight's dinner prep playlist. Absolute belter.

Ordinarily I would say that the difference is racism doesn't cost you anything. But local councils are learning the hard way that this is far from true.
Hayden DonnellI have once again made a meme, this time to illustrate National's official position on coalition negotiations thespinoff.co.nz/politics/31-...
The difference has only ever been in the relative courage of convictions
Tze Ming Mok 莫志明We are at 'New Zealand stereotypes of Australia' levels of acceptable public racism.
The timeline we avoided but the ghouls refuse to acknowledge it
Bill GrueskinRunning out of body bags, using forklifts to transfer corpses into makeshift morgues, a mortician conducting 200 funerals in a month when he usually does 30, crematories running at double capacity… And these senators just want to memory-hole it all www.nytimes.com/2020/04/30/n...
When my friends started having kids it was where I would go for the celebratory copy of Sleepy Kiwi & later the new Shaun Tan. As my own son grew up, it’s where I slowly built up the canon of bedtime reading books. Many of my wife’s birthdays have been saved by a side quest to the Taschen shelf.
I'm sorry but 'we have no ideology' is the most conservative coded messaging possible. It's also ... a lie.
TOP’s “Let’s take the ideology out of politics” is akin to “let’s take the water out of the oceans”. Politics IS ideology FFS.
'Art owned by councils' - when they mean public gallery collections - is a bit cute. It also continues to deny the fact that many such examples have been gifted; or are on long term loan; or have been sold at bargain rates by gallerists ... BECAUSE they're publicly owned and available. Sigh.
Aaron HawkinsGoing to be cackling about this for ages. These idiots remain the best PR shop for arts and creativity in this country.
Vale Jim. A proud (and parochial) champion for his community, and until the very end a fine teller of tales.
