Now, if you look on Twitter on any day, you can find accounts hoping fervently that homophobes kill themselves. Is this typical of gay rights activism? Of course not. It's what bigots always do when they want to portray themselves as victims.

JK Rowling was obviously not feeling like enough of a "victim" yesterday, she found a Twitter account with 55 followers that had hoped she killed herself, quote-tweeted it in a "look at what trans activists are like," tweet, ignoring the mountains of cogent criticism of her hatred of trans people.

Half of the country is in "exceptionally serious drought" - putting us at more risk of wildfires and threatening our food security. Meanwhile water companies are wasting a staggering 2.87 billion litres of water every day through leaky pipes. Time to end water privatisation.

You can tell the GCs lost their case yesterday because there is nothing about it in the Times, Telegraph or Mail.
