it's a tricky balance: feeding the critters brings joy AND cobnuts are delicious 😆 you can ramp up your chances by coppicing the hazel every 3-5yrs, then laying down young shoots, splicing into the branch then burying it (=new tree!). it'll go gangbusters and you'll be nut-bound soon enough 🤣
