Duck fat's better

@darthbluesky.bsky.social darth, I am reliably informed that french fries cooked in duck fat are even better than those cooked in beef fat. Is this true?

When McDonald's first opened in my town, they were still proudly advertising that their french fries were cooked in 100% pure beef tallow.

These chips are amazing but they just couldn’t help but slap “no seed oils” on there. Beef tallow makes things delicious, but they insist on selling it as health food for fucking dipshits.

They're only tallow freaks if they "proudly" use beef tallow. "Proudly" is a requirement.

Was there ever really any question that fries cooked in beef tallow would be good?

there’s a local company that makes tallow soap and lotion that i really like but i feel a bit embarrassed to consider it anymore due to Tallow Freaks. (they and my enjoyment of them predate the craze but …) tallow freaks aaaaaagghh

The tallow freaks make the specific argument that tallow is good for you, wether it makes fries taste good is uncontested.

Quite delicious but they also think it'll make you live forever so they're not exactly right lol.
