Managed to fall asleep before taking my Fistful of Meds last night. 🙄l Two visits today, so I'd better get up and get moving. Coffee ground, cat fed, we're on our way. All the best for a superb Saturday. 😊

Sounds like a fun if sweltering day. I've got a frantically busy weekend ahead. Still sewing, nearly finished one item. My faux unicycle construction is coming on, tong mechanism cut, threaded rod needs cutting to reassemble. Need to work on the hub for smooth rolling. Happy Saturday everyone.

Somnambulation. Moved the boat yesterday, not far, but another step back in time. Low water here, approaching a lock through a bridge, and a silted up lock mooring. Thanks due to t'other half for 'doing' the lock so I could enter without stopping...

We have a rainwater harvesting system that uses grey water to flush the loos and wash the clothes, it works on a pump that is supposed to switch to mains when the rainwater runs out. The pump is banjaxed and we have no water of any kind for those purposes. Heaving buckets of water! 🪣🚾🧺

Asargh!! That sounds like a nightmare. It brings it home to you just how much water you get through doesn't it? We're kind of used to that since we don't have mains water in France and have to draw from the river and filter for everything we need. I hope you can get the pump fixed quickly.

Water is just big buckets drawn by hand from the river. We might install a winch one day!

That is hard ! I bet you do get good at water conservation. I’m a bit shocked at how extravagant w water I am. We’re fortunate to be on an aquifer, so we have no hosepipe ban - yet.

Lived in a caravan for a while with no water hook up, used to fill buckets and water was used first for cooking, then bathing and finally to water the plants.

Exactly. There’s a rule-something will always go wrong on a Friday. Someone is coming on Monday.. I hope not just to look at the pump and shake their head.😱
