This is a tremendous tragedy. Marjane Satrapi's work remains so vital, so accessible, dark, funny, defiant, and educational. I'll never forget reading PERSEPOLIS and realizing I was getting a first-person window into an entire women's war I knew nothing about, one that was still being fought.
