How right you are. I remember the disappointment when I learned that Dennis Quaid was a Trump supporter. The rise of MAGA has exposed what so many of these people truly are. And as you say, it’s usually the ones who’ve become irrelevant that are the most vocal - Voight, Woods & Sorbo come to mind.
