Restoring credibility to the Justice Department, the CDC, FDA etc. The first term of the next Democratic president will be a clean up job.

Our allies won't trust us as fully, but that's good. We'll work harder & not take our influence for granted. They'll strengthen their own systems so security & trade will have better redundancy, not dependent on a superpower. We just need to be sure we elect intelligent, experienced people.

Trump & his mindless hoard destroys everything and the new president will need to rebuild everything, but he/she will have a clean slate. They can rebuild USAID, for instance, without whatever flaws it had in the past. I'm being outrageously optimistic, I know, but optimism is an option we can take.
