what's wild about Steely Dan music is that those sessions seem like they'd be a blast. just funky music-making. but nope. Fagen & Becker apparently were impossible to please. crazy that music so smooth and pleasing to the ear was painfully squeezed out of the musicians. i mean they also had drugs.
