So many assume to already know why, but I'd like to read your explanation: Why don't others of your means step up in practical ways to help this nation?

The U.S. healthcare system won't change until the people who design it have to live with it. Until executives and policymakers face the same delays, denials, and financial burdens as everyone else, the status quo will continue.

My representative is a MAGA asshole who won't even speak to his constituents any more because it might make Daddy Trump angry. Isn't that right, Representative McClintock? I am hoping @votemasuda.com can pull off a miracle, but Central Valley California tends to vote against their self interests.

There are sweeping changes I'd like to see. But I also know that swift changes always wind up hurting people. So, I'd like to see slow, gradual change rather than this constant swing between Reich Wing barbarism and Democratic Do-Nothingness.

I still say we pool our money and buy up the biggest insurance company we can afford and act directly on the marketplace. It'd be nice for the senate to help, but I bet we the people could do more if we were organized and had a game plan to act directly on the market

I don't know if you remember it, but before you became a billionaire you could not get your Senator or Congress member on the phone. If you wrote them a stern letter you'd get a form letter in response. Donations still equal access, Mark. An angry voter means nothing to most of them.

How does Europe and Canada do it? What we need are our politicians to be looking at their models, picking the best points, and figuring out how to implement it without sinking the whole medical economic system,losing jobs, keeping quality. We need smart people like you to figure it out

1. My wife works for a large Ins. company. This particular company happens to hold a stake in a pharm company who is primarily delivery by mail. She has taken a medication for nearly a decade and had it filled at our local pharmacy (literally across the street).

2. Recently, that very company, a big ins company owning this stake in a big delivery by mail pharmacy, told her it would no longer cover her prescription unless she got it by mail through the pharmacy they own!!!

3. How can this be allowed? There was not even a change to her script. They just up and decided. Here's the really sinister part... Originally, from our local pharmacy she was getting the generic. Now she is forced to use the brand name! When has the brand name EVER been cheaper than a generic?!?!?

4. Lastly, the new "great" delivery service has screwed up her script at least 3 times. This has caused a disruption to her health care and yielded side effects from the new medication. For what? And she gets zero choice? >>She's looking for a new job and we're 100% behind busting up big healthcare.

Because we can pass M4A without doing something to personally make you even wealthier than you are now. You could be doing the kind of things that Bloomberg is doing, but you choose not to.

I suspect that a lot of people who support m4a are not familiar with what is actually covered by straight Medicare. For example, Medicare doesn't include dental. This is why many seniors opt for Medicare Advantage plans, which are administered by the big insurance companies not the government.

I like Mayor Pete’s idea of Medicare for those who want it. It should be included as an option.

This may be a little off topic, but I don't see much changing until and unless Congress and all elected officials at all levels are required to use the same insurance/healthcare system as the rest of us. The same goes for retirement plans. Medicare and Social Security would be fixed in a heartbeat.

Update.. Multiple calls back and forth and multiple promises of shipping "tomorrow" have come and gone and she still doesn't have her script! Today is the day she's supposed to start her next dosage! Just wrong!

They can't really help you. You are better off using CostPlusDrugs com and goodrx for drugs. And for medical , calling the provider, hospital doctor and asking for a cash price and a payment plan If something catastrophic happens,a provider will work out a payment plan.

I no longer get the breakdown. On vacation I met a drug co. benefits manager who when challenged couldn’t explain it. We once had to refill one of my wife‘s expensive prescriptions while traveling in Europe, with no insurance it was literally a fraction of U. S. prices. Why? Thanks for your efforts!

The ONLY quasi-choice (a dictated list) I have is what doctor, a choice fickle execs force me to make more than I want. It takes forever to establish / get appointments as a new patient, and more doctors are refusing new patients - we can't all pick any doc or specialist our money can buy like you.

Those billionaire and rich execs have no clue. They bitch about costs going up as much as you do You may be better off looking for cash prices. It may be cheaper than your out of pocket
