Did it ever occur to you that there are too many cars? If the car throughput was cut in half, there would be room for everyone. The problem is cars.

The cars aren't driving on the sidewalks. Yet... I don't mind bikes, but the safety hazard of bikes on the sidewalk, when there are bike lanes 1 & 2 blocks west. What I have learned, the original plan was to have Dusable/LSD continue north along lake. But that was scrapped to route along Sheridan.

why would you make up a stat like that? people die of cars driving on sidewalks

@obcycler.bsky.social makes a comment on my thread, but I can't respond... San Diego may be different than the street we are talking about. There would be no way to drive on Sheridan Rd from Hollywood to Devon because there are trees, bus stops, street signs and fire hydrants.

Look at a map of crashes in that stretch of Sheridan, ffs. It’s cars cars cars.

The cars are driving on the sidewalk, every day. There are many curb cuts along Sheridan Road. Also, the cars are given at least 44 feet of street space. If the cars had less, the people could have more.
