I don’t think GamePass is a failure. Rather it was the constant pressure to keep it worthwhile that lead to rushed games, big money to publishers to get a new game on here, and irresponsible buyouts. Gamepass is great! The financial decisions that was made in its belief failed.

Why don’t they just shift it to a similar model ps+ is. Significantly reduce the price and remove day 1 releases. This gives first party games back their full priced sales and gives back frugal gamers a large category of older games to play.

The problem was literally just relying on it and trying to switch between giving up like they Sega or trying to make a comeback, while killing the studios they bought.

Anyone who thought Game pass was a good idea doesn't know how modern businesses work. IT WAS ALWAYS GOING TO END THIS WAY. They tried to buy the market and it didn't work. Eitherway people's jobs were going away.

It was a good idea but long term I just want to own the games that I play.
