Today’s low temperature of 21.4°C in Camborne, Cornwall, was the highest May minimum temperature ever recorded in the UK and, in fact, the highest minimum temperature ever recorded at this station. This is a very significant record to fall by such an extraordinary margin.

How does that work, such a huge difference to the recent normals in daily minimum °C? Is the pressure High preventing nighttime escape of heat, and the High is the dominant factor, and very unusual? Dominant – after Exxon, Shell, BP, Adani, RWE, Saudi Aramco – our cars, chimneys and consumerism.
