Yesterday I shared facts about the deaths from USAID defunding with a MAGA neighbor here in Texas. I showed her the CIDRAP (U of Minn) stats that over 750,000 had died. Her response was “I don’t believe that story, but you can believe whatever you want.” 😥

Seems bleak that even though these systems fail in the same ways as they did when they were introduced, the industry’s argument for them has changed — from “they avoid human biases” (yes, that’s the original pitch) to “biases are fine actually and trying to correct them is reverse racism”

Oh I fully believe he believes "not a single person has died due to him axing USAID". The only humans who qualify as people to him are those eligible to live in a Network State. Everyone else is potential future biodiesel & therefore not worth wasting resources on. What moral bankruptcy looks like.
