It's literally evil about the WHY they did this: to "keep the economy going". Was the possibility of killing a few extra million people/takers just a bonus? It's insane, and I can't see how this isn't true.

It was probably also to avoid setting a precedent that workers could get any time off from work. Because that might encourage us to ask for more time off.
