I love that libraries are a safe haven. I grew up in a house with domestic abuse and it was my escape. I spent most of my teen years there as did many others. Support your local libraries y'all!

I spent my career as a public librarian. I’ve had many young adults tell me that the library was their refuge.

Genuinely not surprised. Most of the kids that ended up there when I was a kid had similar stories that I had. As an adult I especially realize how lucky we were to have one safe place. Eternally grateful I had an escape and I have so much love and respect for you and all the librarians out there. 🙏
