Allison Pregler πΌπ27 ΠΈΡΠ»., 14:43Pretty cool a fraudulent company can just claimed free to use Kevin MacLeod songs on YouTube, try to steal your revenue, and then force you to go through the dispute process for a song they don't own.
Mathew Buck27 ΠΈΡΠ»., 15:09I think MacLeod has even got a page on how to dispute this stuff. incompetech.com/music/royalt...Music FAQ - incompetechCustom graph paper generators and royalty-free music.incompetech.com
Allison Pregler πΌπ27 ΠΈΡΠ»., 14:44The company is We Are Era Music BV, and looking them up it appears they've been a known scammer since at least last year. And yet they are still allowed to make false claims on people's videos.
Allison Pregler πΌπ28 ΠΈΡΠ»., 17:48Genuine question, is there a way to report this company to YouTube? They have been continually claiming old videos of mine regarding Kevin MacLeod songs they don't own.
Nick Michalak, RavensFilm Productions28 ΠΈΡΠ»., 18:04I strongly feel that anyone making claims that eventually get repealed should be given a strike for abusing the system.
Dark Jaguar28 ΠΈΡΠ»., 19:26Sadly a Youtube strike is utterly meaningless to them. They aren't publishing content on the platform, by and large.
Nick Michalak, RavensFilm Productions28 ΠΈΡΠ»., 19:28More by the fact that if they were to make too many false claims, their account would be shut down or suspended.
Simon M. Clabby27 ΠΈΡΠ»., 16:31They've been doing it on Facebook for a couple of years now, had a few challenges over there on videos with Kevin MacLeod songs, with links to the songs you've allegedly ripped off, that sound nothing like the original. Easily disputed, but it's a pain that you have to do it once a week...
Joe Goes Over27 ΠΈΡΠ»., 14:53Thankfully, YouTube employs a massive number of human beings with the ability to use their sentience to read the complaint and issue a logical response that gets to the bottom of the obvious scam...
M. Cooper27 ΠΈΡΠ»., 15:18All that nonsense was why I ultimately gave up Twitch and Youtube as ways to make a life. I was dealing with that all through the 2010s and it took more energy than the videos
Walter37 [France FurAutisme]27 ΠΈΡΠ»., 14:45The day Kevin MacLeod's music isn't free to use, the Internet might as well die.
