Canadian, so wrong demographic. I absolutely baby sat as a teen. My kid took the babysitting course at school (at 12) and started sitting at 13. Was able to be choosy/avoid infants/kids who were "runners". Made coin. Probably related: our neighbourhood has kids who free range, shovel driveways.
