Read this (beautifully written) thread AND if you’re queer, befriend people with kids so the kid can see a template of a queer person and have an easier journey to KNOW their parents treat queer people well. I love knowing that a kid in my life said “I think I’m like David” to his parents.
Doug Fink ✌🏻Overheard a parent recounting their child's coming out story and recalling feeling confused over how distraught their kid was to tell them. The parent said the kid was so distraught that the parents worried something awful had happened to them or that they'd done something awful.
