There’s an elderly man who uses a wheelchair and walks his very elderly dog every day. She’s so so slow, and he just patiently goes along side her, putting her in his basket when she tires. They’re my favorite people to see in the morning.

The love and caretaking and the trust that the dog has in huis human is beautiful to see.

Brings back so many emotions. I went through that myself with my beloved dog of 16 years 3 months 11 days, until her dying last breath this May. 😔🐕‍🦺🦮🇨🇦

The man's name is Darren and his dog is Little Miss, she was born disabled and he's had her for 16 years. She's enjoying a warm bath with her best friend.

Third dog video to make me cry today 😢 First a PETA ad I keep seeing on YT about dogs chained outside, stressed and dying not being able to escape the heat. Then the #1 dog in WeRateDogs‘ July top 5. Now this. I’m still emotional from losing my old boy in June, RIP Puzzle.

It's also sad that dogs have such short lives. Just think, that "elderly" dog is probably just a teenager. It seems so unfair.

Kindness,care, and gentleness are wonderful qualities.

Currently we are dealing with a friend who's dog is on the way out and can't even eat or move. Blind and deaf totally. I do not understand how they can be so calm when the can't hear or see. It must be scary.

So nice to see. My nephew and his girlfriend have a dachshund mix at that age. When I go outside, he's my best buddy. Just two old guys sitting on the porch watching the crazy. He lights up my face everyday.

I know what this guy’s going through. I feel like I’ve been doing end of life care forever. Lost my 13 year old rescue doggo Dec 2024, my dad last October after 2 months in the hospital, then my cat turned neurological less than 2 months later and passed quickly.

We tried to save our pug Hans Sr but he couldn't walk anymore... always in pain... stopped to eating and drinking... once the decision was announced... the Vet came over and Hans Sr was gone. My Spouse cried and cried and cried for months... We soon got Hans Jr and Gretel but my Spouse still cried.

This was the first I'd ever heard of or seen of Darren and Little Miss. Their Tiktok and Instagram made me both very happy and very sad at once. I love the joy that comes of the close bond with a companion animal so treasured. I know what he's going through losing her, because I lost my Dodo too. :(

That is so touching. A couple of years ago there was a photo of a man who would hold his dog in water so that the pain would be bearable, it was touching as well. These stories help restore my faith in humanity.
