You trimmed off the top of my post. I think right now it’s abundantly clear that what people need is a grounding in a broad education in the humanities. Setting kids up to go on apprenticeships (particularly before you’ve established if there’s space in the jobs market) is IMO a bad idea

The last thing the UK should be doing is sending kids on vocational pathways at aged 14/15.
