I fully support PR becoming it's own nation, I would also support the U.S. maintaining payments to PR as reparations.
What I don't support is using exploited workers from the developing world (mostly P.I.) to cut costs in the U.S.

USVI gets an exception, as should PR.
It doesn't mean shit if workers in PR get paid well when they can't get the relief to recover from a disaster
