Whenever you see the link buried like that, it's usually b/c the author is cross-posting the same post to Meta, Twitter, et al xcancel.com/jbsapien/sta... The algorithms at most social sites down-rank posts with links, so authors will put story links down in the replies to increase promotion
From this to Wakefield being protected for over a decade to COVID mismanagement, it's all driven by systems-level failure. The stories are about individuals, but the causes are structural. Corrupted systems working as intended to protect institutions and the well-connected, not the rest of us.
Mark UngrinThe fact the UK COVID Inquiry does not appear to have been aware of the SARS Commission illustrates the underlying problem. The Inquiry's findings of "widespread failure" could have been taken directly from that 2006 report. Institutional medicine simply does not admit or learn from its mistakes.
