We spoke with the 48th Ward. The geofencing only applies to Divvy and Lime scooters. It does not currently apply to Divvy e-bikes.
BrandonI don’t love that the city is embracing geofencing divvy bikes in neighborhoods/corridors. I have sympathy to concerns about sidewalk riding but if people are riding in an area they likely have a reason and the goal should be to build proper infrastructure at their destination.
