Obviously a multifactorial problem, but the sheer dedication to ignoring one of the most critical, urgent and preventable drivers is impressive. In any context where "burnout" is mentioned but #longCOVID isn't, you can assume a relationship plus lack of awareness. www.bmj.com/content/382/...

It's like some monsters-under-the-bed reflex that if you don't talk about COVID then it won't get you. Yeah, not everything's COVID - but the virus that repeatedly infects almost everyone, damages every part of the body, and is known to cause the thing being discussed is the obvious place to start.

It is a reasonable explanation considering the same phenomenon is happening in so many other countries. Canada is not unique in this regard.
