Yuuuuuup. Also to be clear, in my voting lifetime I never identified with the Republican party (in the 2016 primary, I took a GOP ballot to vote against Trump, which I did at the polls, so now Ohio has me listed as a GOPer, which amuses me but is very very very much not accurate in any way).
I was briefly a registered republican in 1996 because the Dem primaries were all completely un-interesting.
But I live in PA where the presidential primaries are always held after we know who's definitely the nominee so there's not much point in doing that again.
My family is so Dem that my mom once voted for Rockefeller Republican John Heinz but made me promise not to ever tell her father about it because he's never forgive her for not voting party-line.
