I've always wondered why Russell's career fell off so hard after THE SCORPION KING. Whatever one thinks of that movie (I kinda like it), it was a financial success. Then he disappeared for 14 years and reemerged in what felt like director jail. Curious if anyone has some knowledge here?
Jeremy SmithI don't like writing snap obits. Chuck Russell was a major influence for me, but sometimes you can't instantly access the necessary emotions. He was important, and he deserved better than he got. Godspeed to a genre great.
