Two weeks to remove him. Now.

It's not over. He agreed to a ceasefire *if Iran opens the strait*. No mention of Israel also doing a ceasefire. Iran hasn't agreed, because a rational state would probably decline to be bombed by Israel for 2 weeks while giving up their leverage over the Strait under threat.

Both. Well, with the caveat that "opening the Strait" seems to mean throttled, restricted passage.

They do not appear to be giving up control of the Strait- i.e. their main leverage. So this is less "trust" and more "let Trump give in to all their terms and declare victory."

What's funny is some version of this seems like the most likely outcome if this ends anytime soon. Iran keeps control of the Strait (and the implied threat of the ability to cut off the oil supply whenever). They pay the US/Trump some share of revenue.

That makes sense. Maybe Trump is charging Iran a percentage/kickback of the $8.7 billion extra Iran got so far from Trump removing oil sanctions. Plus the Trump spawn bought a drone company. And I bet there are other defense investments not yet discovered. Plus the prediction market bets!
