Also, like, I'm sure I'm not the only one whose going to use their free trial to watch the movie on streaming and then never sign up for a sub, so that's just money they left on the table?

Exactly, I’ll be using a free trial on this with no intention of renewing. Plus will probably have multiple people over to watch, so instead of multiple ticket sales they get nothing.

I’m sure they’ll pull a Kpop Demon Hunters a few weeks from now and do another wide limited theater release, but I don’t know why it takes them until the trailer gets 12+ million views and people crashing AMC’s website for the bare minimum to happen

Who knows… aside from “line go up” brainrot in decision makers. But my $10-$15 ticket for Avatar was very real, and now I just don’t have to spend anything to see it. So…
