B.C. spends the money: more than $1 B in 2023 and six firefighters still died. My point was money only goes so far. To see someone on TV complain that a quickly-made fire break wasn't wide enough seems naive. Not every fire can be extinguished quickly and sometimes wildfires are just unstoppable.
