Looked at my grocery receipt when I got home and saw the mandarin oranges I bought were entered as brussels sprouts. I was about to go back when I thought, "I wonder ...?" Sure enough, they're the same price.

That was a wee bit dramatic. Hail and lightning. All clear again now.

I don't think this is a big deal logistically, but the BCWS map changes significantly on my iMac (running Safari) when you zoom in and out. Areas that are under evacuation alert/order turn from orange to red, etc. #BCWIldfire

PM2.5 numbers in #Kamloops are very bad today. Not sure how that translates to "Impact Level: Moderate," but I do know you should wear a mask if you must go outside. Preferably, if you can, stay inside ... somewhere with an air purifier running. #AirQuality

Whenever a fire season stretches BC Wildfire resources, someone being interviewed for local television drops their opinion that some part of the effort should have been done faster, with more people, more equipment, etc. B.C. is huge and fires are everywhere. There's no cop on every corner either.

Dear wildfire: you are officially too close to my parents. Don't make me come over there.
