This is one of my biggest bugbears on the Council. While local authorities outside Dublin get up to €78m for road maintenance in a year, Dublin City only gets €40,000 for training. This is why our roads and footpaths are awful.
AND, it's Dublin taxpayers paying for the bulk of road maintenance to all the one-off houses being built down country boreens, so that we can become ever more dependent on cars and fossil fuels, and subject to massive EU fines for failing to meet emission targets.
