Everyone’s experience will vary, but all the people I knew who liked dragon ball and sailor moon growing up kinda kept it to themselves or anyone who’d listen. It wasnt the cultural phenomenon it is now. Thankfully it being cheap to bring over, and kids wanting more of it def paved the way for that.
