CalgaryK28 июл., 13:27In ON growing up it was the “Civic Holiday,” which was an optional day that was mostly known as the halfway point of the summer school break. What that meant, nobody knew. Victoria Day, got far more love, as did Labour Day, both as the beginning and end of summer, respectively.

CaptnCanada 🇨🇦28 июл., 13:47It’s “Natal Day” in NS and “New Brunswick Day” in NB. NL has Regatta Day but it’s on the Wednesday, unless it rains 😛
Claudette 🫐 🇨🇦28 июл., 18:17It may even be a bit more confusing that, Regatta Day is not a NL holiday, it is a St John's Civic Holiday, all NL towns do not necessarily have that holiday.

Cole Pederson28 июл., 20:16When I was a kid my parents called it either the Civic Holiday or the Bank Holiday (I don’t know why they varied. It seemed random.) More recently I’ve only heard it called the August Long Weekend. I’m sure the GoA has given it an official name, but I don’t know what it is.
