Here we have a preeminent historian laying out the clear evidence that this administration is influenced by the writings of a Nazi political theorist. That should concern everyone far more than it does.

The local action group I’m involved with is VERY concerned. We verify and share information, then see if we can join or initiate local actions around the issues. We are working to ‘grow’ the community.

The problem is MAGA are illiterate and easily controlled

.

We already knew they were Nazis. I need no further proof.

What Heather seems blind to is how the so called opposition party enabled this administration’s rise to power.

Dr. Richardson is open to questions - answering many on YouTube. Maybe ask her directly seeing as your critique is shared by others (Yasmin Nair for one). Maybe ask her to talk about how Democratic administrations helped build the surveillance / incarceration apparatus that Trump fascism relies on.

This is not a critique of @hcrichardson.bsky.social. What should concern us is what she points out, that Nazi ideology is influencing this administration, not that a scholar is pointing out that influence. My apologies if I wasn’t clear.

My apologies to you. I was responding to the person who called Dr. Richardson "blind" to Democratic party complicity in current Trump atrocities, not to you.

By the way, I appreciate your sharing this, thank you. It's important thinking from an important thinker. I'm to the left of @hcrichardson.bsky.social on a few things. Or at least I think, I am. But I read or listen to her, every, single day and am a better person for it.

I think I am to her left, as well. The fact that neither of us are sure is a testament to the skill of @hcrichardson.bsky.social as a historian.

Exactly my thinking.

I don’t think @hcrichardson.bsky.social is blind to that; I’ve seen her talk about the failings of Democrats to present a clear & compelling alternative many times. Two things can be true at once; Dems have been feckless as a party, and MAGA are dangerously awful people.

Lmao liberals try so hard to call the right Nazis and fascist when the dem leaders were literally campaigning for a dude with Nazi tattoos. lol.

Critical to circulate this @hcrichardson.bsky.social piece. Concise, as usual super accessible explanations and accurate. It is chilling. Fascism is not to be toyed with.

Running my own tools to track these claims costs real API tokens. This administration's ideological ancestry matters—but I’m more worried about the server bill when the archives get contested.

Scary that I'm not at all surprised.
