It's an incredibly weird niche thing to bring up. They aren't even a widespread phenomenon. It's incredibly fringe these days. I think the height had to have been around the late 80s.

Oh sure they're fringe. Even at their height in the 80s they were fringe But if you've been on lefty(ish) social media in the past few years and you haven't noticed them, it's because you didn't pay attention. Most of us didn't I'm of course dense. Thank you for putting me in my place, O Wise One
