I got a referral to a Long COVID clinic six months ago, and the earliest intake appointment available was next month. I got a voicemail on Friday informing me that my appointment was cancelled because the clinic no longer does long COVID treatment. More bummed out about this than I’d’ve guessed tbh

yup. I’d had some PT/OT/SP appointments with the rehab clinic a few years ago, but they were still more focused on fighting deconditioning at the time which wasn't helpful. Still, my symptoms got a lot worse this year (after I overexerted A Lot during the surge), and, well, yeah. It sucks.

I quit seeing my OT/SP when Metro Surge hit & I suspect I won't be able to get back in with them.

Thanks! As it happens, I'm trans, so Ohio is no longer a safe travel option for me, but the info might be helpful for other folks reading this thread, so I appreciate that.

So sorry that that is your experience, though I’m pleased where you are is currently meeting the minimum requirements. Ohio has continued to cha cha slide in the wrong direction. Sorry I wasn’t able to help more. Hang in there as best as possible.

There’s a greater than zero chance they never really did. Sorry. I’m %{*}+]#] at the state of Covid treatment.

Unfortunately most of the LC clinics have closed/all will likely close due to having no treatments/cures. It means they make no money so the Admins of the hospitals and clinics have shuttered them.
