Both my parents died from lung cancer - my mother at 58 and my dad at 68. They had been very heavy smokers, but they quit - just not in time. It’s an awful way to go. My sister smoked; she stopped, but got lung cancer (immunotherapy saved her). My brother smoked, quit, and then got lung cancer.
