Yeah, weird how nobody is complaining about the Mets

I mean the billionaire owners of all the other teams could you know spend money on their teams by signing great players. But that would require them to treat the team as something other than a piggy bank they can loot.

This is fair, but also a part of why it’s frustrating. They may not have broken through in the WS until 2020 but they bullied their way to being the favorite every year for most of a decade before that. Now they’ve added a whole core of other teams’ fan favorites/MVP on top of that.

The Yankees have had the same reputation the Dodgers do now for YEARS, and they have 1 title since 2000 to show for it. There have only been 3 seasons in that span where the Yankees didn't have a top-2 payroll in the sport.

My response is usually asking why no one ever accuses the Mets of ruining baseball. The craziest thing to me is that Mookie and Freddie both wanted to re-sign with their original teams, but for whatever reason they were turned down. Shohei offered to let the Angels match and they also said no.

I'm a Cardinals' fan, but I'll give the Dodgers their due: - Consistently one of the best minor league systems, - Great trades that always seem to work out (other than Yordan Alvarez), - Longterm recruitment in Japan so they have a pipeline, - And, yes, free agents being the cherry on top.

Also its not just about buying theyre also really good at drafting and to actually invest in their farm system.

This fucking drives me insane, the MLB doomers. You know what pro sport has the most different champions in the last 30 years? MLB. Yep, more than the salary capped NFL, NBA, etc
